"UTS Blood Pressure 1.8.2 : Excellent Palm OS blood pressure software"
HANDHELD COMPUTING -- REVIEWS
by Harv Laser
UTrackSys.com's Blood Pressure software is an excellent, reliable, feature-packed choice. I tried some other blood pressure programs, including a couple free ones, but this is truly a case of you get what you pay for. UTSBP is high quality, and extremely easy-to-use.

"PDAs - New Software for Handhelds Can Help You Manage Your Well-being"
THE EXECUTIVE LIFE -- HEALTH
by Arlene Weintraub
... Richard Miller has always struggled to control his high blood pressure. So last year he turned his Palm handheld computer into a miniature medical assistant. Twice a day, he takes his blood pressure, then taps the results into a software program on his Palm called UTS Blood Pressure.
The PDA alerts him when his pressure spirals too high. And it generates detailed charts that allow him to spot trends, such as which activities spark dangerous peaks. Miller can e-mail the info right to his doctor or transfer it to his PC and print it out. "It gives my doctor a good indication of what's going on when he's not around to check on me," says the 60-year-old Miller, who lives in Fresno, Calif. ...

"Tracking Software Replaces the Diabetes Logbook"
by Nina Ravey, NP, a family nurse practitioner at the Shirley Medical Clinic in Jennings, La
... It is an understatement to say that diabetes is an insidious illness that requires constant monitoring. You and your patients must regularly monitor diet, blood glucose levels, insulin amounts, exercise and well-being. When patients use the Universal Tracking System (UTS) Diabetic Kit Bundle on their PDAs, all of this data is readily available ...

"Jack of all trades"
One thing computers are very good at is keeping track of sequences of numbers. Owning a handheld opens up all sorts of uses for tracking things recorded when out and about, and this is the focus of Universal Tracking System. An impressive built-in wizard helps you set up a database for the item(s) you're tracking, specifying units, labels and conversion factors if necessary. You then enter amounts for each item as and when recorded, with UTS tallying them up, providing daily summaries and regular charts. Typical uses might include diet tracking, money management or simply recording the number of alcoholic drinks you get through each week. There 's even a timer mode, whereby UTS can keep track of time spent on specific activities.

"... UTS is more of a flexible database than tracker, since it allows you to trend any value ...
Its a good looking new entry to the Palm database market ..."

"... UTS is a hierarchical database, set up to allow people to track numbers and trends for just about anything. Its claim to fame is that it is the only such program available that is flexible enough to get their "all-purpose" moniker ..."

"... I will admit that I have not yet had time to read the documentation for UTS. I bought it to solve a specific problem. I have high blood pressure that I should track daily, but due to a change in my daily schedule I was forgetting to do so. I thought that by buying a cool little application for my Palm (I do everything in my Palm, which is something of a hobby for me) I could encourage myself to remember to take my BP.
And it worked perfectly. I really like UTS BP (which is what I bought the product for). My doctor also likes it. And having it, I now take my BP at least once a day, usually twice, and chart it.
Honestly, I only bought UTS to get UTS BP (not that I am complaining). But since I have it, I am starting to use it to track my weight and would like to track my daily walking. I also may use it to time other "exercise" such as lawn mowing, raking, and other physical chores.
Thanks for a great program. As I learn more about it I am sure that I will find more uses for it, and it may encourage me to track other aspects of my health ...."

"... A $9.95 downloadable program for my Palm handheld computer, the UTS Blood Pressure application, logged my blood pressure and pulse and gave me data to show my doctor during checkups.
Other Palm applications played key roles in my loss, too...."

"UTS Blood Pressure ... You can see that the program gives you a nice way to keep a record of blood pressure and also outputs line and bar charts as well. I think the UTS would be great for things also like blood sugar monitoring, INR records, Peak flow measurements and other medical measurements. ..."

"UTS Diabetes ... The install program is very nice. It leads the users by the hand. Too many Palm programs have poorly designed installation programs.
The insulin calculations set up is very tedious but then that's something that you don't do often, and don't change much.
It's got a very good user interface -- much better than EzManager.
A nice program... Would be great for someone who used multiple daily injections ..., or great for someone on medications ..."
